WHAT:

This is a three part meeting: 1) to advance efforts by the International Snow Working Group-Remote Sensing (iSWGR) in promoting snow remote sensing efforts through research initiatives and education, 2) to continue planning for a large NASA (and possibly international) snow remote sensing field effort (SnowX), and 3) to educate the community about the potential of the ASO airborne snow observatory operated by JPL.

Tuesday, March 29, noon-5:  SnowEx Planning
Wednesday, March 30, 8-5:  SnowEx Planning
Thursday, March 31, 8-1:  Airborne Snow Observatory (ASO) Info and Workshop

The meeting will be held in the Waterfront Activities Center on the University of Washington Campus:    http://www.washington.edu/maps/#!/wac

Anyone interested in snow remote sensing is welcome to attend.

(Some travel support is available.  If you would like to request travel support, you must fill out this survey before midnight Pacific Time on Tuesday, February 9th.  Priority for travel funding will be given first to key scientists involved in planning and remote sensing research and secondarily to students.)

Group Dinner Event

We will be having a group dinner on Wednesday night, March 30th, at Ivar's Salmon house: http://www.ivars.com/locations/salmon-house . No-host happy hour in the bar starting 5:30, with dinner starting at 6:30. Those wishing to attend dinner must pay $32 (cash or check) by 5 pm on Tuesday, March 29th. Price includes dinner choice of sockeye salmon, chicken marsala, or vegetarian pasta (specify choice when you pay), inclusive of tax and tip. No soup, salad, or drinks (besides tap water) are included -- these must be purchased separately ahead of time at the bar.
